Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking a GMP Lab Computing Services Engineer to manage laboratory computing systems across their lifecycle, ensuring compliance, validation, and data integrity. The role collaborates with QA, Engineering, Facilities, and vendors to maintain reliable, secure, and validated systems in a fast-paced environment.

The engineer will lead change control, risk management, testing, and technical documentation, while mentoring junior staff and driving quality improvements in laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
• Significant experience supporting laboratory computing, computerized laboratory systems, scientific systems, or related technologies.
• Demonstrated experience working within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Experience with lifecycle management of regulated computerized systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical support for GMP laboratory computing systems and services.
• Lead lifecycle activities including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Coordinate resolution of complex technical issues across teams.
• Maintain documentation, system information, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, quality processes, and data integrity.
