Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking a GMP Lab Computing Services Engineer in Olympia, WA to ensure compliant lifecycle management of laboratory computing systems. You will provide senior technical support, own critical platforms, and drive risk-based changes while collaborating with QA, engineering, and IT teams.

The role requires strong GMP knowledge, documentation discipline, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset to maintain validated state and data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, life sciences, or a related technical field.
• Significant experience supporting laboratory computing and regulated laboratory systems.
• Demonstrated GMP knowledge and familiarity with data integrity.
• Experience with controlled technical execution, change management, testing, and verification.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, writing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical support and ownership for GMP laboratory computing systems and services.
• Maintain reliable operation of laboratory applications, workstations, interfaces, and infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting and coordinate resolution across multiple technical and business teams.
• Provide technical direction during system incidents and complex operational events.
• Support lifecycle activities including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement.
• Develop and maintain documentation, configuration records, and support procedures.
