Job summary

Actalent in Holly Springs, NC seeks an Instrumentation/Calibration Technician to join a large-scale pharmaceutical expansion. You will calibrate temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, and pH instrumentation, support startup, and ensure GMP-compliant documentation.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree or equivalent training, experience in regulated environments, and strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Electronics, or related technical field, or equivalent military training.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment: GMP, FDA, or similar.
• Expanded understanding of calibration concepts: Traceability, Substitution of Standards, and Test Accuracy & Uncertainty.
• Basic understanding of GMPs and Life Science industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibrations on temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, and pH instrumentation.
• Support equipment startup, commissioning, and operational readiness.
• Conduct loop checks and troubleshoot instrumentation and manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and instrumentation documentation.
• Complete calibration records and GMP-compliant paperwork.
