Job summary

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

You will work 12‑hour shifts on-site, with responsibilities spanning diagnostics, installations, and routine maintenance, ensuring reliability of critical equipment for the client’s operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ years experience as a refrigeration/air conditioning mechanic in an industrial or research environment.
• 2+ years hands‑on HVAC/R maintenance experience.
• Demonstrated experience with electronic and pneumatic controls and ability to interpret control diagrams.
• Ability to work independently, in teams, and with cross‑trade disciplines.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (day or night).

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, service, and maintenance on CTUs and HVAC/R systems, including controls, air handlers, BAS/BMS components, pumps, motors, dampers, valves, and actuators.
• Install, repair, maintain, and commission refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including associated piping, wiring, and controls.
• Operate and maintain building systems such as heating hot water, steam, ventilation, A/C, and water treatment systems.
• Maintain ancillary systems including chillers, cooling towers, and pumps.
• Work from CAD drawings, schematics, prints to support installations and repairs.
• Conduct water treatment testing and troubleshooting for cooling and hot water systems.
• Identify system performance issues, analyze failure causes, implement corrective actions.
• Support and maintain refrigeration management documentation and compliance.
• Assist with non‑HVAC facility systems including fire life safety, plumbing, and basic electrical tasks.
• Support general facility maintenance such as painting and lighting.
