Job summary

JC Automation Corp. is seeking a Design Interface Manager to oversee the bi-directional flow between design and construction teams for pharma capital projects. The role ensures timely, quality design deliverables (drawings, IFC packages, RFIs) and feedback loops back to design.

Responsibilities include coordinating with BIM Coordinator, managing vendor inputs, and tracking design-driven changes that affect cost and schedule. Fluent English required; PE license and Spanish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Process) or Construction Management.
• 12+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or other regulated-industry capital projects with design and field roles.
• Proven track record managing design deliverables on large-scale projects (> $200M TIC).
• GMP facility design knowledge, cleanroom classifications, and process equipment integration.

Responsibilities

• Manage the design-to-construction interface across all packages (Enabling Works, modular ASRS, equipment, fit-out).
• Maintain and enforce the design deliverables schedule and elevate design slippage.
• Chair design-construction interface meetings; ensure RFIs and field changes meet SLA timelines.
• Coordinate constructability reviews and value-engineering inputs from the field to designers.
• Manage drawing revision control, IFC release governance, and red-line/as-built feedback loops.
• Coordinate design inputs from major equipment vendors into the overall design package.
