Job summary

Equans Services Canada & US seeks an experienced Facilities Services Manager with pharmaceutical manufacturing experience to oversee GMP and non-GMP cleaning within a regulated environment. You will lead cleaning programs, drive standardization and continuous improvement, and manage site improvement and cost-saving projects while expanding services within scope.

The role combines hands-on operational leadership with development of new solutions and ensuring documentation meets GMP requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities/cleaning management, including people leadership or project management in pharma or other regulated environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of GMP, laboratory or cleanroom cleaning management.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA requirements and best practices for critical facility cleaning.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish and Portuguese a plus.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling and vendor contract administration.
• Physical ability to perform inspections on-site (lift up to 40 lbs, standing/walking).
• Willingness for holidays, weekends, overtime, on-call duties, and multi-site travel.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary point of contact between client stakeholders and janitorial service provider.
• Oversee performance of third‑party cleaning vendor across all sites.
• Establish clear service standards and accountability measures.
• Conduct regular site audits to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Implement structured auditing programs with scoring and follow‑up actions.
• Address performance gaps through corrective action and vendor engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement in janitorial operations.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
• Monitor budgets, track spend, and support cost control initiatives.
• Develop business cases and ROI recommendations for improvements.
• Support financial decision‑making through operational insights and benchmarking.
• Manage and coordinate facility-related projects across multiple sites.
• Support delivery of capital and operational FM initiatives.
• Ensure projects are on time, within scope, and aligned with client expectations.
