Job summary

OrganaBio’s newly formed Excellos Labs in Downtown San Diego is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II, Cell Therapy. The role performs GMP aseptic cell culture activities, including media prep, cell thaws, expansion, harvesting, and cryopreservation in a cleanroom, following Batch Production Records, SOPs, and work instructions.

The Associate will support maintenance of supplies, equipment, product testing, storage and distribution.

Qualifications

• Experience with aseptic techniques and GMPs.
• Proficiency in standard cell culture methods including counting, viability, seeding densities, and handling of materials.

Responsibilities

• Experience in aseptic technique and GMPs in a cleanroom environment.
• Documenting tasks, verifying operator vs. verifier roles, following procedures and cleaning steps.
• Daily updates to production spreadsheets and communication of document readiness to management.
• Document deviations and report them to department management.
• Set up samples for sterility testing and perform flow cytometry for viability/cell ID.
• Execute cell culture manufacturing steps: thawing, passaging, feeding, harvesting, counting and cryopreservation.
• Handle intermediate formulations, storage, and distribution of product.
• Operate supporting equipment for daily manufacturing and maintain SOPs/BPRs.
