Job summary

The BioLegend GMP recombinant protein Biochemist will be responsible for purification, conjugation, formulation, and quality control for GMP product release, and will support manufacturing teams across QA and QC.

You will perform purification using IMAC, size exclusion, and ion exchange, conjugate and formulate proteins per SOPs, and assist with pilot lot closures and documentation within ISO/GMP frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Life Science or related area.
• 2+ years of experience in biotech protein or antibody product manufacturing.
• Extensive experience in protein or antibody purification.
• Experience in purification and formulation of recombinant protein or antibody.
• ISO/GMP manufacturing experience.
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to work in small teams.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Purify recombinant proteins using IMAC, Protein A Sepharose, and other chromatography methods.
• Conjugate and formulate recombinant proteins per SOPs.
• Perform in-process quality testing including purity and endotoxin analyses.
• Support internal safety and regulatory audits and CAPA systems.
• Assist with work order processing and batch record closure for GMP release.
• Review quality system documents and ensure laboratory procedures comply with ISO 9001:2008/13485.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, QA, and QC teams to improve processes.
