Mercyhealth seeks a skilled coordinator to support Graduate Medical Education programs, ensuring curriculum alignment with ACGME requirements and effective administration across fellowships and residencies.

The role involves coordinating schedules, evaluations, recruitments, and quality-improvement initiatives, while liaising with program leadership to maintain compliance and high standards of education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; Graduate Medical Education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate educational activities supporting the Fellowship Program’s curriculum and adherence to ACGME requirements.
  • Guide residents/fellows on program and GME policies and non-clinical aspects of the program.
  • Coordinate creation, dissemination and monitoring of annual Fellowship rotation, clinic and call schedules; update schedules to maintain accuracy.
  • Assist with the IM Residency schedules and evaluations as needed.
  • Coordinate and monitor resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations.
  • Support accreditation activities (ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews).
  • Manage Fellowship duty hour reports and support reporting compliance; assist with IM Residency.
  • Assist in compliance to GME policies and related departmental policies.
  • Coordinate fellow recruitment and selection process; assist with IM Residency recruitment.
  • Assist the PD and faculty in planning and implementing residency/fellowship quality improvement activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinates educational activities (e.g., didactic conference schedule, Grand Rounds, etc.) that support the Fellowship Program’s curriculum and adhere to ACGME requirements.
  • Provides guidance to residents/fellows on program and GME policies, and non-clinical aspects of the program.
  • Coordinates creation, dissemination and monitoring of annual Fellowship rotation, clinic and call schedules; updates schedules periodically to maintain accuracy.
  • Assists with same for the IM Residency.
  • Coordinates creation, dissemination and monitoring of resident/fellow, faculty, and program evaluations.
  • Coordinates and/or supports accreditation activities - ACGME Site Visits, Internal Reviews, annual program reviews, etc. as needed.
  • Manages Fellowship duty hour reports and supports reporting compliance; assists with same for the IM Residency.
  • Assists in supporting compliance to GME policies and procedures and related departmental policies.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Experience working in a Graduate Medical Education environment preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE

TAGME Certification Preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Passing the Driver’s License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
  • Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
  • Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.

PAY RANGE

$45,760.00 - $73,216.00
