Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Administrative Director for the Office of Graduate Medical Education (OGME) to provide senior administrative and operational leadership for more than 160 residency and fellowship programs and roughly 1,200 physician trainees.

Reporting to the DIO, the role translates institutional priorities into reliable systems, workflows, and services to support program directors, residents, and health system leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in academic health system administration and GME operations.
• Strong budget oversight and financial reporting experience.
• Ability to lead complex administrative teams and coordinate across departments.
• Excellent communication with executive, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead OGME administrative operations and establish service standards.
• Supervise OGME staff and support recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and development.
• Oversee budget development, expense oversight, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policies and risk management in GME.
• Coordinate program support and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive enterprise alignment and strategic initiatives for GME.
