Job summary

The Boeing Company in Fort Greely, AK is seeking an Experienced GMD/GBI Production Technician. This 1st shift, 100% onsite role supports the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense program, assembling and testing aerospace components and troubleshooting complex systems to ensure flight-worthiness.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assemblies, be able to travel up to 25% domestically, and lift up to 35 pounds while working in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Able and willing to travel up to 25% for offsite support and training.
• Able to ascend/descend ladders and work in confined spaces.
• Lift loads up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles, modifies or upgrades aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul processes.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Performs validation/verification testing and documents procedures and results.
• Ensures compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements and records inspection results.
