Job summary

Boeing Global Services (BGS) seeks an Experienced Support Equipment Technician in JB Andrews, MD, onsite. The role supports maintenance and testing of aircraft Ground Support Equipment, working with limited supervision and a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Applicants should have 5+ years of GSE experience, be willing to deploy domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time, and contribute to maintenance, calibration and inventory systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
• Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
• Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
• Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
• Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
• Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
• Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
• Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
• Deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) as needed to meet customer needs and the statement of work
• Work under general supervision and with minimal direction
