Job summary

Boeing Global Services seeks an Experienced GMD/GBI Production Technician to join our Fort Greely, AK team. The role supports the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense program and is expected to be 100% onsite at the listed location.

The position requires assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components, with travel up to 25% domestically for offsite support and training. You must be able to climb ladders and work in confined spaces, lifting ~35 pounds.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components.
• Willing to travel up to 25% domestically for offsite support and training.
• Able to work in confined spaces and lift 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
• Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
• Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness.
• Oversees training.
• Works under general direction.
