Bob Bell Chevrolet of Baltimore is seeking an experienced Transmission Rebuild Technician to join our service team. The role focuses on diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing automatic transmissions with a strong emphasis on GM/Chevrolet specifications and procedures.

Qualified candidates have hands-on rebuilding experience, knowledge of drivetrain systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment.

Competenze

• 2+ years of professional automotive technician experience.
• Hands-on experience with transmission rebuilding and overhauls.
• Strong knowledge of automatic transmissions and drivetrain components.
• GM/Chevrolet transmission experience strongly preferred.
• GM-certified technicians and GM ASEP graduates encouraged to apply.
• Strong diagnostic, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment and transmission tools.
• Maryland State Inspection License a plus.

Mansioni

• Diagnose, disassemble, inspect, rebuild, and repair automatic transmissions.
• Identify transmission problems and determine necessary repairs or rebuild procedures.
• Perform transmission overhauls, component replacement, and related drivetrain repairs.
• Follow GM/Chevrolet manufacturer specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
• Use advanced diagnostic equipment and tools to troubleshoot transmission concerns.
• Complete repair orders with attention to detail and efficiency.
• Communicate findings and estimated times to Service Advisors.
• Perform quality checks and road tests to verify operation and repair quality.
• Complete warranty repairs and documentation per manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
