Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in our Arlington Heights store to lead a busy GM floor and backroom operation. You will drive guest experience, coach hourly team members, and coordinate daily tasks with your store leadership to meet sales and service goals.

You will train and empower your team, uphold safety standards, and ensure accurate merchandising and pricing. The role requires flexibility for a demanding retail schedule and a strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience leading teams in a fast-paced retail environment is preferred.
• Strong guest service orientation and the ability to coach others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments and maintain a guest-first culture.
• Lead daily/weekly workload and set priorities with your leader.
• Coach and develop hourly team members to improve performance.
• Ensure product is in stock, correctly priced and signed on the sales floor.
• Assist with inventory, merchandising, and backroom organization as needed.
• Protect store safety and security, following policies and procedures.
• Assist with shift coverage, including nights and peak times.
