Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader in Tacoma to drive guest experience and store operations. You will lead daily workloads, manage stock and pricing, and coach hourly team members to deliver results while maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming store environment.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills, with exposure to receiving, merchandising, and fulfillment tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or expected.
• Experience not required but helpful in retail environments.
• Ability to lift up to 44 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals.
• Deliver on Target’s guest experience commitments and ensure consistent operations.
• Oversee receiving, merchandising, signing, setting and updating displays, and stock management.
• Coach and train hourly team members to build a capable, guest-focused team.
• Support fulfillment processes (pick/pack/ship) when applicable and monitor related reporting.
