Job summary

Concord Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Parts Counter professional to join our Parts Department in Concord, CA. The role focuses on wholesale and GM/Chevrolet parts, servicing independent shops, retailers, and technicians with accurate pricing and availability.

Candidates should have strong wholesale parts experience, dealership familiarity, and solid computer skills to navigate catalogs and VIN-based part identification. Competitive pay starts at $26 per hour plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive parts counter experience required.
• Strong wholesale parts experience preferred.
• GM/Chevrolet dealership experience strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of GM/OE parts and catalogs.
• Experience working with independent repair shops and wholesale accounts.
• Strong computer skills and experience using dealership systems.
• Ability to accurately identify parts using VINs, part numbers, diagrams, and electronic catalogs.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced dealership environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle wholesale parts sales and build long-term wholesale relationships.
• Provide professional customer service by phone, email, and in person.
• Assist retail customers and technicians with parts identification and pricing.
• Identify GM/OE parts using VINs, numbers, diagrams, catalogs, and systems.
• Process wholesale, retail, special-order, and internal parts requests.
• Prepare orders, invoices, credits, returns, and warranty transactions.
• Monitor backorders and communicate updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts, pricing, and discounts.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, pricing, and applicability.
• Coordinate with Service, Wholesale drivers, and Shipping/Receiving to fulfill orders.
• Assist with inventory, special orders, returns, and daily operations.
• Follow dealership policies for sales, credits, returns, and documentation.
• Keep parts counter organized and clean.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
