Job summary

Target is hiring a General Merchandise Team Leader in Lewisville, TX. The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest experiences, leading hourly team members, and driving store performance across merchandising and operations.

You will train and coach team members, plan workloads, and ensure product availability, pricing accuracy, and a positive guest journey. The position requires adaptability to a fast-paced retail environment and dedication to store standards.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first culture on your team.
• Retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies.
• Leading a team by planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support priorities and deliver sales goals.
• Leading a team of hourly team members, including interviewing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent.
• Coaching and training hourly team members to build a team under direction from your leader.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.
• Ensure all team members are trained and consistently deliver Target's guest experience commitments.
• Observe and provide feedback, hold team members accountable, recognize good guest moments.
• Lead daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
• Manage merchandising, signage, stocking and backroom organization to keep the store guest-ready.
