Job summary

SPIN San Francisco is seeking a General Manager in Training to learn and master key responsibilities from the General Manager. The role emphasizes creativity, exceptional customer service, event sales, and talent development within a dynamic sports-entertainment setting.

You will assist in day-to-day operations, payroll, P&L interpretation, and various business matters, while developing leadership and supervisory skills across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years' experience as an Assistant General Manager or General Manager in a high-volume entertainment/event/restaurant environment.
• Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and assess talent.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Proven ability to increase sales and profitability.
• Strong hospitality background.
• Sound commercial and brand awareness.
• Experience with catering and events execution with cost of sales understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the floor and bar operations to maximize profitability and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Learn to recruit, interview, hire, supervise and train employees; support performance management.
• Assist in onboarding and training new staff; provide ongoing feedback and development.
• Help plan and manage scheduling, labor, inventory, and event coordination with the events team.
• Support forecasting, cost control, and profitability analysis through payroll and expense reviews.
• Participate in pre-event and on-site communications with clients to align event goals with SPIN brand.
