Job summary

Planet Fitness in-person opportunity for a General Manager in Training to train with an current GM and lead a team focused on delivering exceptional member experiences and driving revenue growth. Based in Connecticut, the role oversees daily operations, budgeting, and staff development.

You will recruit, manage and develop front-desk staff and fitness instructors while ensuring opening/closing procedures, deposits, compliance, and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of supervisor or manager experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail environment, or Planet Fitness experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• A High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• A Bachelor's Degree or four years supervisor or manager experience preferred.
• Ability to travel to other clubs as needed.
• Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Effectively recruit, lead, manage, communicate, train and develop an entire staff including Assistant Manager, Front Desk employees, and Fitness Instructors.
• Ensure the club opens and closes on time as scheduled using proper protocols.
• Address issues with employees and members in a respectful and timely manner.
• Promote a superior customer experience within the club.
• Complete annual Management appraisals.
• Actively promote the Planet Fitness brand within local communities.
• Ensure accurate and timely daily deposits.
• Monitor compliance with all policies, procedures and standards.
• Monitor staff performance to meet or exceed revenue goals.
• Monitor inventory and payroll/scheduling to keep staffing adequate.
• Coordinate Brand Excellence Review and monthly self-inspections.
• Ensure accuracy of club documentation.
