Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager I - Distribution to lead a highly automated 488,000 sq. ft. eCommerce fulfillment operation supporting a rapidly growing customer.

You will oversee 350+ associates and 45+ operations leaders in a technology-enabled environment. The role carries full accountability for safety, service, quality, productivity, and financial performance, and involves partnering with the customer to drive operational excellence and growth within DHL Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managerial/supervisory experience
• 2+ years in supply chain, warehousing or distribution
• Experience in 3PL/Contract Logistics preferred
• Staff managementexperience required
• P&L management preferred
• Project management preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• WMS experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods efficiently and accurately
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching, guidance, and support while developing a strong team culture
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, and oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), automation and other technology to track inventory, monitor performance metrics, and identify areas for improvement
• Manage vendor relationships, and ensure cost-effective services and supplies while managing the site in accordance with the commercial agreement
• Prepare and analyze reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
• Lead customer relationships by maintaining close daily contact to ensure strong connections and customer satisfaction
• Responsible for the site's profit and loss (P&L), which is directly influenced by customer relationships
• Prepare and present Monthly/Quarterly Business Review (MBR/QBR) to customer, leveraging strong team collaboration
