Job summary

Zaxby's is seeking a proactive General Manager to lead a Zaxby’s unit. You will drive guest experiences, staff development, and operational excellence through hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentorship.

This role requires a 48-hour week minimum, background checks, and successful completion of ZAX training programs. You will manage schedules, control costs, ensure safety and compliance, and build community relationships to grow sales.

Qualifications

• Must pass a drug screen and background check.
• In-store training program completed.
• Online ZFI AM and GM tests with a 90% or above.
• Online ZFI Kitchen Demonstrative passed with a 90% or above.
• Successful completion of ZAX General Manager training program.

Responsibilities

• Strive to enhance guest experiences by satisfying and exceeding expectations.
• Increase sales and profit by building community relationships and providing outstanding product and service.
• Ensure an effective work schedule is posted each week.
• Demonstrate effective interviewing skills for hiring only top performers.
• Responsible for all levels of staffing and new hire orientations.
• Ensure all training and certification processes are in place and 100% compliant.
• Provide clear development plans and performance reviews for management staff.
• Execute quarterly business plans through systems, training, operation manuals and resources.
• Assist Area Development Managers in executing marketing plans.
• Continually mentor AGMs and AMs in the operation of a Zaxby’s unit and prepare them for future advancement.
• Review daily numbers and coach and praise results.
• Provide leadership by generating excitement, a positive attitude and commitment toward company objectives.
• Maintain an attitude of flexibility that allows performance beyond the position description.
