The Moorings Yacht & Country Club in Vero Beach, FL, seeks a General Manager/Chief Operating Officer to lead a private, member‑owned club with a rich legacy. Qualifications

• 7–10 years of progressive leadership in private, member‑owned clubs or high‑end hospitality.
• Experience leading a busy club operation with a large staff and operating budget.
• Ability to mentor department leaders and build accountability.
• Strong leadership in food & beverage operations and service culture.
• Broad operational and financial acumen with prioritization skills.
• Technology savvy to enhance operational efficiency without reducing personal service.
• Partner with the Board with sound judgment, integrity and appropriate confidence.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented with follow-through and accountability.
• Visible, approachable leadership with emotional intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a thoughtful leadership transition with relationships across members, staff, and committees.
• Maintain a visible, approachable presence across campuses and Club activities.
• Evaluate organizational structure and empower department heads for accountability.
• Elevate the food & beverage experience with consistency, variety, and training.
• Oversee completion and opening of Phase One dining improvements within budget.
• Collaborate with the Board to define priorities for the Master Plan phases.
• Preserve the Club’s warm, friendly culture while driving operational improvements.
• Represent the Club as a engaged community partner in Vero Beach.
