Position Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GM Certified Technician to join our team at Courtesy Chevrolet. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles according to manufacturer standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service and repairs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Diagnosis & Repair
• Perform accurate diagnoses of mechanical, electrical, and safety issues using GM diagnostic tools and software.
• Execute necessary repairs, replacements, and maintenance tasks per GM guidelines.
• Preventative Maintenance
• Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet GM's performance and safety standards.
• Technical Expertise
• Utilize GM-specific technical resources, tools, and equipment to deliver manufacturer-approved repairs.
• Stay updated on the latest GM certifications, techniques, and service bulletins.
• Customer Interaction
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor clearly and accurately.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
• Compliance & Documentation
• Follow all dealership and GM warranty guidelines.
• Maintain complete and accurate records of repairs and parts used.
• Teamwork
• Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts Department, and other Technicians to meet customer and dealership goals.

Qualifications:

• Certification & Training:
• GM Technician Certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
• Previous experience required
• Experience working with GM vehicles
• Skills:
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic software and tools.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Licenses:
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
