Job Purpose

The Service Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned, in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Duties

• Perform repairs indicated on work orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair malfunctions accurately using technical knowledge.
• Respond promptly and professionally to repair inquiries.
• Test drive vehicles as needed to ensure proper operation.
• Document all service and maintenance work and complete PA State Inspection records as required.
• Utilize all tools and equipment safely, following proper safety procedures.
• Manage warranty parts and documentation properly, retaining and tagging parts as needed.
• Complete detailed service-related paperwork legibly.
• Maintain technical competence through training, reading service bulletins, and attending meetings.
• Keep the work area clean and safe, complying with safety and OSHA standards.
• Dispose of waste and hazardous materials properly.
• Attend all required training sessions and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

Technical communication, reading skills, mechanical aptitude, time management, organizational skills, safety management, physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs., problem-solving, decision-making, self-motivation, and the ability to work in temperature extremes and vehicle fumes.

Experience
