Job summary

Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Recovery Equipment Operator at IAD, supporting glycol recovery and processing operations at the airport. You will safely operate recovery equipment, handle de-icing fluids, and maintain systems while complying with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

The role requires 18+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic computer skills. Training, on-the-job learning, and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of all required classroom and on-the-job training programs.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and procedures.
• Strong basic math skills, including rates, ratios, percentages, and measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely use hand tools and perform equipment maintenance tasks.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and the ability to safely operate motor vehicles in varying weather conditions.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, and driving record that meets company insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate glycol recovery and processing equipment.
• Collect spent aircraft de-icing fluid with minimal product loss or environmental release.
• Monitor and maintain glycol processing and recycling systems for performance.
• Perform quality assurance, glycol and water sampling, testing, and reporting per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Complete preventive maintenance and repairs, including component replacement and installations.
• Conduct truck transfer operations, including loading/unloading tankers and transferring fluid between storage tanks.
• Support glycol recovery activities and maintain all equipment, tools, and materials.
• Collaborate with airport authorities and team members while adhering to security procedures.
• Drive company vehicle to pick up spare parts and supplies as directed.
