Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking a Recovery Equipment Operator to safely operate glycol recovery and processing equipment at our airport facilities. The role involves handling spent aircraft de-icing fluid, performing daily maintenance, and ensuring environmental compliance.

You will work with airport authorities, contractors, and team members in a dynamic, outdoor/indoor environment, with opportunities for on-the-job training and advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English and interpret safety rules and maintenance procedures.
• Strong math skills: rates, ratios, percentages, measurements.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools safely.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and ability to operate motor vehicles in varying weather.
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate glycol recovery and processing equipment in accordance with procedures, airport regulations, and safety standards.
• Collect spent aircraft de-icing fluid (ADF) while minimizing product loss or environmental release.
• Monitor, inspect, test, and maintain glycol processing and recycling systems for optimal performance.
• Perform product quality assurance, glycol and water sampling, testing, documentation, and reporting per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Complete preventive maintenance and repairs, including replacing components and installing valves, meters, sensors.
• Conduct truck transfer operations, loading/unloading tankers and transferring fluids between storage tanks.
• Support glycol recovery activities and maintain all equipment, tools, and materials in clean, safe condition.
• Collaborate with airport authorities, contractors, and team members while adhering to security escort procedures.
• Drive company vehicle off airport property to pick up spare parts and supplies.
