Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Gluer on 1st shift at our Longview manufacturing plant. The role involves assembling foam, fiber, and other sub-components into fabric cushions with an hourly rate of $20.20, rising to $20.78 after 90 days.

The successful candidate will follow instructions, work with gluing procedures, and contribute to a high-volume production environment. Education required is a High School Diploma or GED, with the ability to lift up to 35 pounds and work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior Gluer experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Able to work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Able to lift up to 10 lbs repeatedly during shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive and understand instructions from the line supervisor or management.
• Follow work instructions to assure proper construction of mattresses.
• Assemble components into product according to customer requirements.
• Some cushions may be larger or bulky, weighing 30-35 pounds.
• Clean gluing equipment and perform scheduled maintenance.
• Maintain steady work pace in a high-volume atmosphere.
