Job summary

Actalent in Everett, WA seeks an LC-MS Principal Research Scientist to lead pre-clinical GLP bioanalytical method development, validation, and sample analysis using triple quadrupole LC-MS/MS.

The role focuses on small and large molecules, including ADCs, with direct technical leadership and collaboration with clients and internal teams in a fast-paced environment. Emphasis on GLP compliance, high-quality reports, and rigorous data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of GLP laboratory experience.
• 5+ years as a Research Scientist in GLP with LC-MS/MS.
• Experience in CRO or bio/pharmaceutical setting with method development.
• Hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS instrumentation and software.
• Experience with triple quadrupole LC-MS systems and ADCs workflows.
• Familiarity with Shimadzu and SCIEX systems; Watson data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead GLP bioanalytical method development and validation for small and large molecules.
• Serve as expert for ADCs and large molecule LC-MS/MS assays and sample prep.
• Act as principal investigator for LC-MS/MS studies with regulatory compliance.
• Ensure GLP compliance, SOP adherence, and accurate documentation.
• Maintain client communication, provide updates, and prepare study docs.
• Deliver high-quality reports detailing methods, results, and conclusions.
• Prepare biological materials for LC-MS/MS analysis and maintain chain of custody.
• Calibrate and maintain LC-MS/MS instrumentation; support CAPA activities.
• Collaborate with regulatory/quality teams on SOPs and improvements.
• Balance multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
