Job summary

A leading IT consulting firm is seeking a GlobalProtect Linux Deployment Specialist for a freelance contract. The role requires expertise with GlobalProtect Linux agents, strong troubleshooting skills across multiple Linux distros, and experience with certificate-based authentication. Applicants should be comfortable in both headless and GUI environments. This is a remote position, ideal for those based in North America.

Qualifications

• Expertise with GlobalProtect Linux agents (6.2.x / 6.3.x) required.
• Ability to troubleshoot agent installation and connectivity issues on Linux.
• Experience with various Linux distributions necessary.
• Deep knowledge of TLS, certificates, and trust stores.
• DNS, routing, and NetworkManager configuration issues.
• Diagnose systemd services and firewall rules (iptables/nftables).
• Headless and GUI Linux environment support and authentication.
• Experience with FIDO2 authentication, Entra ID/Azure AD, and Silverfort.
• Strong TLS/certificate chain debugging and log analysis.

Skills

• Expertise with GlobalProtect Linux agents (6.2.x / 6.3.x)

• Strong hands‑on experience troubleshooting across multiple Linux distros (Ubuntu, Fedora, RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, Debian, Mint, Arch, NixOS)
• Ability to diagnose systemd services, certificates & trust stores, DNS issues, NetworkManager, firewall rules (iptables / nftables)
• Ability to support headless and GUI Linux environments Authentication
• Experience with FIDO2 authentication
• Experience integrating Entra ID (Azure AD) with Linux endpoints
• Experience with Silverfort for headless Linux authentication
• Strong understanding of certificate‑based authentication
