Job summary

Block, Inc. is seeking a Senior Leader for Workforce Optimization. You will set the strategy and operating model for a global workforce, driving long-range forecasting, capacity planning, and vendor governance across thousands of analysts and partners.

You will lead cross-functional teams, translate complex data into actionable plans, and prioritize automation to improve service, cost, and regulatory compliance while maintaining resilience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of related experience in Workforce Management, Operations, Data Science or related functions.
• Experience leading a global Workforce Management function with forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling, real-time management, analytics, and vendor governance.
• Ability to translate complex data into decisions and align senior leaders across functions.
• Proven track record in moving workforce decisions toward automated and predictive systems.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and operating model for the combined Workforce Management function with clear ownership and governance.
• Own long-range forecasting and capacity planning across 12–36 months and align with hiring and financial plans.
• Connect long-range plans to 1–8 week staffing and intraday actions to mitigate coverage risks.
• Define service and staffing strategies across customer support and back-office work with cost control.
• Partner with product, engineering, data science, and operations to prioritize automation and value.
