We're looking for a senior Workday specialist to help run, improve, and expand its worldwide Workday environment. The role is hands‑on and functional: you'll lead projects and workstreams, contribute to the long‑term Workday roadmap and governance framework, and work alongside HRIS leadership to keep the platform scalable, secure, dependable, and tied to company priorities.
You'll act as the bridge between the system and its many stakeholders — HR Operations, HR Centers of Excellence, Finance, IT, Compliance, Payroll, and business leaders — turning what they need into Workday solutions that hold up over time.
Responsibilities
- Help shape and execute the Workday roadmap and governance model in line with HR and business goals.
- Serve as the functional expert across Core HCM, Security, Reporting, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Learning, Performance, Talent, Recruiting, and Benefits.
- Work with the integrations team to define functional requirements and data mappings, handle the related Workday configuration, and support testing and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, HR Operations, and the COEs to convert requirements into standardized, compliant, scalable configurations.
- Run Workday projects and enhancements end to end: requirements, impact analysis, configuration, testing, rollout, and post-launch support.
- Advise on how Workday should support complex HR and business initiatives.
- Spread Workday knowledge and good practice across the team to raise overall HRIS capability.
- Manage Workday release cycles and support reporting, functional help, data governance, security, and compliance needs.
- Investigate difficult system and process problems, get to root cause, and put durable fixes in place.
- Coordinate with technical teams and outside vendors to deliver work, manage risk, and close out issues.
- Execute and verify mass data updates via EIB with proper accuracy checks and controls.
- Build and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields.
- Write and keep current process documentation and training materials for the team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Information Systems, Business, or a related area — or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years in HRIS, including at least 3 years as a senior Workday functional lead, product owner, or subject matter expert.
- Strong command of Workday Core HCM plus hands‑on depth in at least three of: Reporting, Compensation, Security, Learning, Performance, Talent, Recruiting, Benefits.
- Familiarity with U.S. workforce compliance reporting and building HR business reports such as headcount, turnover, and similar metrics.
- Track record supporting large, complex business initiatives.
- Working knowledge of Workday integration and data tools — EIB, Web Services, APIs, Workday Studio.
- Experience applying structured project management: defining scope, setting timelines, managing risks and dependencies, and coordinating stakeholders to hit objectives.
- Advanced spreadsheet and reporting skills, including complex formulas, lookups, pivot tables, charts, and reconciling large data sets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
Preferred
- Workday certification in one or more functional areas.
- Experience with large-scale HR programs or transformation initiatives.
