Job summary

UCC Environmental LLC is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to lead field engineering activities for industrial water projects. You will support proposals, design reviews, and on-site execution across utility and industrial plants, focusing on advanced filtration and membrane technologies.

The role requires 3–5 years in wastewater engineering, a chemical or mechanical engineering degree, and willingness to travel extensively. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical).
• 3-5 years as an Engineer or comparable wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience with wastewater treatment in industrial or power plants.
• Hands-on knowledge of membrane-based filtration technologies, including microfiltration, ultrafiltration, and nanofiltration.
• Experience with RO systems, including operation and optimization.
• Familiar with media filtration and EDI systems for water purification.
• Ability to evaluate system performance and propose improvements.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales and Engineering in preparing proposals, representing needs of the Service Department.
• Develop wastewater treatment standards and training materials for field execution.
• Assist in on-site outage wash, water sampling, pilot projects, system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Perform onsite and lab jar testing to select chemicals and dosing rates.
• Support installation, commissioning, and startup to meet schedule and budget.
• Prepare regular reports on sampling, progress, challenges, resolutions, and effectiveness.
• Communicate with project stakeholders including clients and contractors.
• Maintain technical expertise and network with customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Demonstrate UCC's core values.
• All other duties as assigned.
