Job summary

UCC Environmental, a leader in sustainable technology solutions, seeks a Wastewater Treatment Engineer to support field activities across the contract process from sales proposals through onsite execution. You will perform sampling, testing, startup support, and optimizations in utility and industrial settings.

The role requires 3–5 years in wastewater engineering, knowledge of filtration and purification processes, and travel of 75%+ as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical) required.
• 3–5 years as an Engineer or comparable wastewater engineering experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of engineering theories, practices, drawings and methods.
• Experience in wastewater treatment or industrial plant environments.
• Experience with membrane filtration, RO systems, and related water treatment technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing proposals and represent needs of the Service Department.
• Develop wastewater treatment standards and training materials for field execution.
• Support on-site outage activities, sampling, testing, and startup tasks.
• Perform on-site jar testing to determine chemicals and dosing rates.
• Ensure installation, commissioning, and startup are completed within time and budget.
• Prepare wastewater sampling reports, progress updates, and evaluations of treatment effectiveness.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with technology and network with customers and partners.
• Demonstrate UCC’s core values and contribute to team goals.
