Job summary

Lumentum Operations LLC seeks a VP of Product Engineering to lead a global, data-driven product engineering organization spanning multiple InP wafer fabs. You will set strategy, staffing, and roadmaps while driving manufacturing readiness, yield improvements, and cost reductions.

Collaborate across operations, design, reliability, and supply chain to ensure scalable, high-yield manufacturing solutions and lifecycle management from development to end-of-life.

Qualifications

• Progressive experience in semiconductor or optoelectronic product engineering with multiple sites.
• Proven track record of improving yield, reliability, and cost through data-driven engineering.
• Executive-level communication and ability to influence across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own the global product engineering strategy, operating model, staffing plan, technical roadmap, and budget for multiple InP wafer fabs.
• Lead the transfer of new InP-based products from design into high-volume manufacturing with readiness reviews and control plans.
• Own product yield, electrical and optical performance, test yield, and cost improvement roadmaps.
• Standardize product engineering processes, metrics, data systems, and reviews across sites; provide executive visibility into risks and investments.
• Serve as the senior technical interface for product performance, quality, and customer escalation matters.
