Job summary

Nextpower Inc. in Fremont, CA, seeks a VP of Reliability to define and lead the company’s global reliability strategy across all products and lifecycle phases.

The role serves as the enterprise authority on reliability risk, balancing performance, durability, financial exposure, and brand integrity. You will drive governance, cross-functional leadership, and continuous improvement across design, validation, and field performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 15+ years of experience in reliability engineering, product engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience in industries with high reliability and long lifecycle requirements.
• Proven track record of leading global, cross-functional technical organizations.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead global reliability strategy across all products and lifecycle phases.
• Standardize reliability methodologies, tools, and processes across regions and product lines.
• Own executive-level assessment of product reliability risk for new product introductions and major design changes.
• Drive go/no-go decisions under incomplete or evolving data.
• Translate reliability performance into customer-facing benefits and business value.
• Oversee implementation of Design for Reliability (DfR) and DFMEA and life testing frameworks.
• Lead field performance monitoring and rapid issue resolution across regions.
• Serve as the leader during major product performance issues or field failures.
