Job summary

KoBold Metals seeks a VP of Business Development to lead global deal-sourcing, underwriting coordination, and commercial negotiations across exploration rights and mining assets. You will manage a team, lead opportunities, and support the CEO/COO in select transactions.

You will build key relationships, review contracts with the legal team, and advance terms from first principles while traveling to project sites worldwide. This is a full-time role with equity incentives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in the physical sciences, engineering, mathematics, economics (prefer geology/mining related degrees).
• 10+ years in business development experience (natural resources/infrastructure preferred).
• Experience with economic modeling.
• Strong interest in physical sciences and ability to work from first principles to understand commercial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Represent KoBold with counterparties and build relationships reflecting the company values.
• Coordinate technical underwriting and understand the technical underpinnings of opportunities.
• Develop and communicate commercial positions, prepare term sheets and proposals.
