Job summary

KoBold Metals in the United States is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to join its growing finance team. You will own full-cycle accounting for multiple entities across jurisdictions and ensure accurate reporting of joint venture expenditures.

You will prepare project and budget reports, process invoices through accounts payable, support monthly and quarterly reporting, and assist audits. The role offers growth as KoBold scales and may require travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with at least 5 years' experience.
• Experience with international operations.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting software.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn new tools and adapt to evolving processes.
• Interest in mineral exploration and partnering with exploration teams.
• Independence to work with limited supervision and flexibility for overseas meetings.

About The Role

This role is a key contributor to KoBold’s global accounting operations and will support a broad range of responsibilities across our growing footprint. You will ensure accurate reporting of joint venture expenditures in alignment with JV agreements and provide critical support to our field exploration teams by preparing project and budget reports, managing invoices through the accounts payable workflow, and overseeing vendor compliance. You will also own full-cycle accounting for multiple entities across various jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. As KoBold continues to scale, this role will evolve accordingly—offering opportunities to expand your scope, take on new projects, and help build scalable accounting processes for a fast-growing startup.

• Interest in learning about mineral exploration and being a close partner to the exploration project teams
• A high degree of independence and the ability to work effectively with limited supervision
• Flexibility to accommodate meetings with staff/vendors overseas
• Interest in contributing broadly to the success of the company and eager to pitch in where needed

It is helpful but not required to have experience with:

• Experience with joint ventures in exploration/mining
• Experience implementing new systems

What To Expect

Joining KoBold means getting the opportunity for hands-on exposure to our exploration projects around the world. All employees are expected to travel to project sites, with a minimum of one week per year. Field-facing and technical roles spend significantly more time in the field.

This position is Full Time. The US base salary range for this full-time exempt position is $90,000 - $115,000, plus equity and benefits including 401k matching.

Location: Remote: Candidates can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
