Job summary

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Vice President, Hardware Development to lead strategy, engineering execution, and global delivery of enterprise hardware platforms and cloud-connected management solutions.

The role requires 15+ years of OEM/ODM hardware leadership, deep expertise in Linux-based systems, edge computing, and AI-enabled engineering, with a track record of scaling global hardware programs and managing executive customer engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
• 15+ years of OEM/ODM hardware development experience.
• Proven experience leading global hardware engineering organizations.
• Expertise in enterprise hardware platforms, embedded systems, Linux-based OS, edge computing.
• Experience managing development across the United States, Taiwan, and Guadalajara, Mexico; manufacturing scale.
• Experience with executive customer engagements and handling escalations.
• Strong understanding of global manufacturing, supply chain, and operational scalability.
• Ability to drive AI-enabled engineering and innovative practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of current and future-generation enterprise hardware platforms and ecosystems.
• Drive end-to-end hardware development: architecture, validation, manufacturing readiness, lifecycle management.
• Lead development of the TCxSky OS leveraging Linux foundation technologies.
• Drive cloud-based system management and deployment capabilities (telemetry, diagnostics, provisioning).
• Lead geographically distributed engineering teams in the US, Taiwan, and Guadalajara.
• Manage OEM/ODM, manufacturing, and partner relationships.
• Foster innovation with AI, edge computing and intelligent device tech.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Manufacturing, Services, Support & Sales to deliver products.
