Job summary

Ceva Animal Health in Philadelphia is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Discovery to lead the strategy and delivery of the global discovery portfolio across biologics and small molecule modalities. The role will drive internal and external innovation, ensuring alignment with corporate growth and ASP priorities.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years in drug discovery, strong cross-functional leadership, and a proven track record in global matrix environments.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in a life sciences discipline required; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• 15+ years of progressive pharmaceutical/biotech drug discovery experience.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary R&D organizations in a global matrix.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead discovery strategy and delivery from target concept to PoC for biologics and small molecules.
• Oversee internal R&D capabilities and external innovation partnerships.
• Implement portfolio governance and prioritization frameworks to optimize technical and business value.
• Represent Ceva in portfolio governance, external collaborations, and strategic alliances.
