Job summary

Kyowa Kirin North America is seeking a Vice President, Business Development Lead to drive global and regional BD initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, in-licensing, and strategic partnerships. The role reports to the Global Head of Business Development and requires senior leadership, strong negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

The candidate will manage deal structures, lead transaction teams, and mentor junior BD staff while engaging with stakeholders

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of progressive Business Development experience in biopharma/pharmaceuticals.

Responsibilities

• Lead global and regional BD activities including M&A, licensing, and alliances.
• Negotiate deal terms and support regional/global transaction execution.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
• Present progress to governance bodies (SIRC, GEC, BoD).
