Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Valley Green, PA, is seeking a Process Engineer - Vision Systems to own machine-vision and automated-inspection programs, from concept to global deployment. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Automation, Computer, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on machine-vision, automated inspection, metrology, industrial image-processing, or vision-system integration experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cameras, optics, lenses, lighting, 2D/3D sensing, image processing, and production-environment robustness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as CBS global technical process owner for machine-vision and inspection systems across global sites.
• Define vision-technology roadmap and evaluate 2D/3D sensing, AI/deep-learning inspection, OCR/OCV, and related technologies.
• Translate criteria into measurable inspection requirements, validation, and system acceptance specs.
• Develop robust vision solutions: cameras, lighting, sensors, fixturing, and algorithms for process variation.
• Deploy proven concepts globally via specifications, FAT/SAT, training, and ramp support.
• Lead process-readiness and governance for inspection readiness through all stages of NPI.
