Job summary

Metso in Brookfield, WI is seeking a Manager, Upgrade Proposals to lead a global team of three Proposal Engineers. You will oversee end-to-end preparation of capital equipment and crusher upgrade proposals, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions with clear scope and reliable lead times.

Responsibilities include RFQ reviews, governance, cost estimation, pricing strategies, and collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Sourcing to drive profitable growth while maintaining compliance with Metso

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in proposal management or related roles.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mineral Processing, Mining, Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a team of three Proposal Engineers.
Own proposals from RFQ review to final submission and handover to execution.
Establish and maintain proposal governance, standards, templates and best practices.
Develop, standardize and improve cost calculation and pricing methodologies for upgrade proposals.
Drive bid/no-bid decisions and value proposition development with stakeholders.
Collaborate with Sales, Market Areas and Product Groups to build competitively priced offers.
Lead proposal risk assessments and approvals throughout the process.
Improve responsiveness by refining processes and reducing handovers.
