Job summary

JLS is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, service, and repair robotic packaging equipment at customer sites, ensuring high performance and safety.

You will troubleshoot, program PLCs, integrate hardware/software, and train customers, with travel 80%+. Weekend and holiday availability required. The role emphasizes teamwork with engineering and offers a robust benefits package and employee-centered culture.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; associate degree preferred in technology or electronics.
• 3–5 years of experience with automated packaging or related machinery.
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and extensive travel (80%+).

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, commissioning, service, and maintenance at customer sites.
• Repair work in-house and at customers' sites; troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Provide technical interface between customer and JLS; generate quotes for service and parts.
• Assist engineering with FATs, testing, and project support.
• Communicate effectively with management and customer teams.
• Turn in detailed service reports promptly and accurately.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.
