Fairbanks Morse Defense is seeking a Controls Specialist for the Houston Service Center. The role involves installation, commissioning, and maintenance of control systems on FMD engine lines, with travel up to 75% and potential weekend or emergency assignments.

Related qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree or equivalent experience in automotive/diesel/power generation tech, with strong English communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FMD Associate Controls Specialist experience preferred.
• Two options: Assoc. Degree or four years' related experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, and troubleshoot control systems on FMD engine lines.
• Plan and accomplish goals using experience and judgment.
• Diagnose problems and develop solutions for engines.
• May perform shop duties (machining, inspections, assembly, testing, warehouse).
