Job summary

Arrowhead Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director, Head of Global Trade Operations and Strategy to design and lead the global trade compliance program across R&D, manufacturing, clinical and commercial activities.

Based in Pasadena, CA or Verona, WI, this role partners with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Tax and Quality to align trade strategy with business objectives and to drive scalable, compliant operations worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
• 10+ years in biotechnology/pharma; 5+ years in trade compliance or global operations.
• Experience leading global trade controls, HTS classification, and sanctions compliance.
• Experience designing global operating models and intercompany flows.
• GxP distribution compliance and serialization knowledge.
• Strong written, verbal, and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Arrowhead’s global trade operating model.
• Lead country activation and market entry from trade perspective.
• Oversee import/export controls, compliance, and documentation.
• Develop governance, KPIs, and risk monitoring.
• Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Tax, and Commercial.
• Build and mentor a global trade compliance team.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
