Job summary

CFS seeks a Customs Import Specialist to shape import compliance and trade strategy for a global supply chain. You will leverage your Licensed Customs Broker credentials to influence regulatory decisions and work across procurement, logistics, and operations.

HYBRID or REMOTE in Akron, OH, with duties including FTA administration, tariff evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliant movement of goods.

Qualifications

• Licensed Customs Broker credential required.
• HTS classification expertise.
• Experience with FTA qualification and administration.
• Working knowledge of U.S. import regulations and compliance.
• Experience evaluating tariff changes and their impact on business operations.
• Background in import operations and duty optimization programs.
• Ability to partner with procurement, logistics, and brokers.

Responsibilities

• Manage U.S. import compliance activities and ensure adherence to customs regulations and internal policies.
• Classify products using HTS and maintain classification accuracy.
• Evaluate tariff and regulatory changes and assess business impact.
• Administer FTA qualification programs and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate customs entry processes and work closely with customs brokers to resolve import issues.
• Support duty optimization programs, audits, compliance reviews, and trade-related reporting.
