Job summary

Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an International Research Analyst for its International Trade Division in Richmond. The role analyzes market data and creates publications and visuals to help Virginia exporters grow international sales.

The analyst collaborates with Trade colleagues and clients to meet diverse export needs. The position combines research, report writing, and data visualization within a hybrid Richmond office, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of academic or professional experience in international business or marketing
• Experience synthesizing data in professional settings
• Knowledge of international business practices or foreign cultures a plus
• Valid Virginia driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

• Engage with colleagues, program managers, and Virginia companies to understand export needs
• Collect, interpret, and present international market data for clients
• Write and update international trade publications such as how-to guides and industry overviews
• Process Certificates of Free Sale documents and manage related payments
• Create customized data visualizations to assist clients' market opportunities
• Produce comprehensive written market research reports
• Support trade mission delegations and events for participating businesses
