Job summary

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson, seeks a Senior Manager of Trade Controls to lead global trade compliance across the supply chain. The role shapes future-state operating models, embeds scalable processes, and partners with Legal, Tax, and Quality to drive transformation.

The position requires 8–10 years in trade compliance, strong knowledge of international regulations, and experience with SAP GTS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; MBA preferred
• Experience in trade compliance and global supply chain leadership

Responsibilities

• Lead the global trade controls strategy for DePuy Synthes Supply Chain.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve trade compliance operating models and governance across regions.
• Provide strategic oversight for import/export controls, customs compliance, FTAs, and tariff mitigation initiatives.
• Partner with Global Supply Chain, Legal, Tax, Quality, and regional teams to embed trade controls into design and transformation programs.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance compliance, efficiency, and scalability of trade processes.
• Establish performance metrics and reporting to monitor compliance and impact.
• Mentor team members and stakeholders to foster a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Support regulatory change management and assess impacts for timely implementation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on trade risk and sustainable supply chain decisions.
