Job summary

CSafe in Monroe, OH seeks a Trade Compliance Specialist to own customs, import/export, and trade compliance for CSafe products across borders. You will manage classifications, documentation, and training, coordinating with brokers and cross-functional teams under the Director of Logistics.

You will review HTS classifications, monitor regulatory changes, and help implement CBP compliant policies while supporting USMCA programs and international expansions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB).
• Strong understanding of international shipping and import/export compliance.
• Familiarity with HTS and classification methodology; experience with binding ruling submissions to CBP or equivalent authority.
• Knowledge of U.S. customs regulations (19 CFR) and CBP resources such as CROSS and ACE.
• Experience designing or delivering trade compliance training programs a plus.
• Experience in ocean freight, shipping container management or aviation related manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day import and export compliance activities and documentation.
• Review and validate invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs templates; support audits.
• Perform HTS and Schedule B classification reviews; monitor changes to schedules and regulations.
• Maintain classification database and support audits using ACE reporting.
• Develop and enforce trade compliance policies including valuation, origin, and recordkeeping.
• Prepare binding ruling requests to CBP and foreign authorities.
• Support USMCA and monitor AD/CVD determinations.
• Establish customs clearance processes for new markets with brokers and officers.
• Provide training on import/export compliance and maintain materials.
